Jerry Ward Hacker 68, Indianapolis, Indiana, died Thursday March 11, 2010.
He was a firefighter for 33 years for Indianapolis Fire Department. Mr. Hacker was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, former member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Eagledale Little League for 30 plus years, Clarian EMT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Calling will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by sister, Mary Elizabeth Hacker; granddaughter, Christina Hacker and parents, Henry Ward and Anna Laura Clark Hacker.
Survivors include wife, Sherlyn Smith Hacker; son, Timothy S. Hacker; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Poole and Amy M. Buchanan; grandchildren, Nicole Poole, Jacquelyn Buchanan, Jacob Buchanan, Jose A. Hacker, Emma G. Hacker; brothers, Thomas E. and James Hacker.
