Virginia Elizabeth Galvin Dison 83, Indianapolis, Indiana died Sunday February 7, 2010. She was born September 11, 1926 the daughter of George and Ruth Galvin.
Mrs. Dison was a homemaker, worked at Naval Avionics prior to marriage and was married to Ernest Dison for 47 years. She was raised in the Soldiers and Sailors Children's Home for 12 years and was very active in the alumni of the children's home. She was compassionate, kind and friendly. She was the family matriarch of Dison Heating for 61 plus years. She loved and served her family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 in Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel, with calling there from 3 to 8 p.m Thursday, February 11, 2010. Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ernest E. Dison and brothers, Charlie and Jim Galvin. Survivors include sons, Lex, Steve, Anthony and Rick Dison; brother, Marvin Galvin; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
