Jarrell Lee Ferguson Went home to his maker on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Jarrell was born on April 12, 1935 in Bloomfield, Indiana. He was the only son of Wendell and Oaklene Ferguson, who preceded him in death.
Jarrell graduated from Bloomington High School and Purdue University. He married Gloria Branam on June 9, 1956. He is also survived by son, Randall (Cinda) and Jeffrey (Robbin) Ferguson and daughter, Sherri Blaylock. Another daughter preceded him in death. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Sean (Heather) Ferguson, Lindsay Ferguson, Jennifer (Mike) Metcalf and Jamie Ferguson; as well as two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Blake.
Jarrell worked for Geupel DeMars, until his retirement and most recently for Enterprise Leading. Jarrell was a gentle sweet man, a wonderful father, and a loving husband. Jarrell loved Gospel music, woodworking, boating and RVing. Jarrell was a member of Chapel Rock Christian Church. He loved his Lord. "God must have needed another carpenter."
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 in Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Chapel Rock Christian Church. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Mausoleum.
