Lawrence D. Ritter 76 Avon passed away Friday November 13, 2009. He was born May 30, 1933 in Indianapolis the son of Rollin and Edna Ritter.
Mr. Ritter was a machinist for Detroit Diesel Allison Division of G.M. for 37 years retiring in 1992. Mr. Ritter served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Mr. Ritter is survived by his wife, Patricia J. (Newsome) Ritter; daughter, Brenda J. (Jeff) Girdley; sons, Gerald D. Ritter and Mark R. (Kim Bowman) Ritter; sisters, Sara Alexander, Florence May Marsh, Hila Crawley and Mary Ritter; five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday November 18, 2009 in Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Clayton Cemetery.
