Georgia Jean Hollingsworth

Georgia J. Foster Hollingsworth 82, of Indianapolis, formerly of Speedway, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009. She was born September 30, 1927 the daughter of Roger and Clarice Foster.

She graduated from Speedway High School and attended Butler University for two years. Georgia retired from the accounting department of Howard W. Sams Book Publishers after 20 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Zionsville American Legion Post and was a former Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed spending winters at her home in Ft. Myers, FL with her husband. She also enjoyed reading, dancing, NFL football, NASCAR races and working crossword puzzles. She loved all animals, especially her dogs Sparky and Suzi.

Surviving are her husband, Joe Hollingsworth; daughter, Joelynn Miller (Patrick); sons, Kevin Hollingsworth (Patricia) and Gary Hollingsworth (Jenny); grandchildren, Emily, A.J., and Eric Hollingsworth, Shane and Craig O'Brien, Derek Scott, and Steve Miller (Connie); and great-granddaughter, Violet Miller.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2009 at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2009. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
