Jimmie W. Pell 84, Coatesville, Indiana passed away Thursday March 4, 2010. He was born January 14, 1926 in Brazil, Indiana.
Mr. Pell served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. After graduating from Purdue University with a Master's Degree, he worked as an electrical engineer for Penn-Dixie Steel Corporation. Jimmie was a member of First Baptist Church, Danville.
Survivors include wife, Jan Pell; daughters, Vickie Smith, Beverly Coyle and Mary DeArmond; step-daughters, Ann Mount, Carol Jones, Susan Coghill, Bette Brown and Barbra Koenig; five grandsons.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Betty Galloway.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 in Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel, with calling from 4 p.m. until service time. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kokomo, Indiana.
Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Danville or Kingsway Community Care Center.
