Virginia Anne Kraft 76 Avon, Indiana, a beloved wife, mother and Nana will be deeply missed, passed away Wednesday March 3, 2010. She was born December 11, 1933 in Indianapolis the daughter of Alan and Edith Evans.
Mrs. Kraft was a sales consultant for Home Interiors Inc. for 30 years and was also an Avon Lady for 8 years. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Plainfield where she was a member of the choir and was a youth choir director for 10 years. Virginia was a member of Harmonets Barbershop Quartet, Hendricks County Choral Club and Decatur Central Bells.
She is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Alan Kraft, brothers, Alan Evans Jr., Clarence and Leon Evans; sister Lucille Bedell.
She is survived by her husband John F. Kraft Sr.; son, John F. (Kathie Lou) Kraft Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Kraft Cummins; grandchildren, Angela (Scott) Meister, Amy (Aaron) Scheuter, Benjamin Michael and Chelsea Noel Spivey, Morgan and Mallory Burrows; sister, Luellen (Mike) Chowning; sisters-in-law, Mildred Evans and Joanna Trowbridge and a loving and sweet dog named Angel.
Funeral services will at 10 a.m. Monday March 8, 2010 at First Baptist Church 1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, IN with visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday March 7 at Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel and from 9 a.m. Monday until time of service at the church. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
